Finding Peace and Confirmation:
Sheryl’s Journey at the Heartwork Retreat
By Linda Smith and Mary Beth Woll
Praise God! We have just completed hosting our sixth Heartwork retreat!
This time we had a total of 27 people in attendance, including seven widowed individuals. Most of our trained Heartwork Leaders and Intercessors have also been widowed, as well as prior Participants, so Heartwork is a beautiful example of comforting others with the comfort that we ourselves have received from Christ.
People came from all over the state of Washington as well as Idaho. The love and presence of the Lord was just beautiful as we worshiped, prayed, experienced healing Heartwork sessions, and then shared testimonies and communion.
Here is a testimony from one of our Participants, Sheryl Ferrero:
“Hi, my name is Sheryl Ferrero. I went to the Heartwork Retreat this past Friday and Saturday. And, WOW!
I didn't know what to expect. I was kind of nervous, but the Lord gave me some confirmation that I was in the right place.
I'm working on a Bible study called ‘The Armor of God’. At the Retreat we opened up our book to an Armor of God prayer. Then I was at peace. The Lord gave such peace and confirmation, ‘Sheryl, this is where I want you to be.’ And the healing I’ve experienced is bringing such peace and joy. I was able to see how the Lord was with me when I came home and found that my husband Timothy had passed away.
He covered me then, and He’s been covering me ever since. God is just continuing to watch over me and restoring my relationship with Him. It is just amazing.”
God has been using The Widows Project and Heartwork in amazing ways! Scores of people have received healing through Heartwork alone, and many more have been trained as Leaders and Intercessors in the Heartwork method.
Recently, Linda and I were able to train Pastor Aaron Thompson and a team from Marysville Foursquare Church who took Heartwork to orphans they care for in a refugee camp in South Sudan. Pastor Aaron was also able to teach 10 ministry leaders, including eight pastors, how to do Heartwork. Over a period of three days, they ministered Heartwork to 23 orphans who had all suffered the loss of their parents through Civil War.
God is using this ministry powerfully around the world! But it comes with a price tag as well! Would you be willing to come along side us with Prayer and financial support so that we can continue to reach widowed people in their distress as James 1:27 instruct us?
If you would like to give a one time gift or be part of our current circle and commit to a monthly donation, your gift will go directly to the Isaiah 61 ministry with which Jesus Christ has entrusted us to bind up the brokenhearted!
God bless you,
Mary Beth Woll
